  作者介紹：司馬鐘，字子英，號秀谷，一號繡谷，又號繡鵠，別號紫金山樵，今南京人。官直隸河工州判。長寫意花卉及鳥獸。落筆豪放，氣勢猶逸，脫盡描頭畫尾之習。或作草蟲魚蝦一兩筆，頗生動。其花鳥俱用粗筆點葉，最有古致。寫生家有北派者自繡谷始。亦善畫蘭。
