Ju Lian

• Ju Lian was courtesy name was Shi Gang, art name was Gu Quan, born in Panyu Guangzhou (now part of Haizhu Guanshou), a prominent Chinese painter in Lingnan area. He was good at painting bird-and-flower, grass, insects, and human figures. He was especially good at sketching. He and his brother Ju Chao were colled “Er Ju”. His writing method was well-organized, the colors were brilliant, and it was based on Yun Shouping’s Mo Gu technique.
