Wei Zixi

• Wei Zixi was a prominent painter of Jiangsu Chinese Paining Academy. He graduated from Henan Normal University of Art. After the People’s Republic of China was established, he served as painter of Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Painting Academy, honorary director of Xuzhou Chinese Painting Academy, and member of the third China Artists Association.

    Lu Yanshao (1909-1993), a modern painter, courtesy name was Wan Ruo, art name was Di, born in Jiading Shanghai. In 1926, he entered Wuxi Art College. In 1927, he entered Wuxi Art Academy and learned poetry and calligraphy from Wang Tongyu; the following year, he learned painting from Feng Chaoran, and met Wun Hufan, and traveled to the noeth and the south. In 1956, he served as painter of Shanghai Chinese Painting Institute.
