Huang Zhou

• Huang Zhou, courtesy name was Ying Zhai, a representative of Chang’an Painting School, a representative painter. In the 1950s and 1960s, he entered the regions of minority ethnic groups such as Xinjiang, Qinghai, and Tibet, and while touching various ethnic groups, he drew many sketches and created many excellent works on frontier themes. His sketches had a great influence at the beginning of this century. The claim of “art for life” and “popularization of art” also directly influenced his view of art.
